Wm Livengood, aged twenty one years, died of consumption at the home of his father, Eph Livengood, 3 miles southeast of here, last Thursday forenoon. Funeral was at St. James Lutheran Church three miles east Friday afternoon.

William Livengood, son of Ephraim and Rebecca Livengood, was born Aug. 9, 1875, and died Nov. 12, 1896, at the age of 21 years, three months and three days of consumption. He united with the St. James Lutheran Church at the age of 16, and was faithful to the end. His Christian life is worthy of emulation. His gentle spirit has been transported to the realm of eternal day, but the example of his life still lives to bless his memory. He has run the race with patience until he fell asleep. Blessed sleep from which none awake to weep. He leaves a father, mother, three sisters and many friends to mourn his loss. - s
